The Department of Economics at Stockholm University has just over 30 PhD researchers, of which 19 are professors and 8 associate professors. We also have about 40 doctoral students. These researchers and doctoral students carry out broad research which cover all fields in economics. See ne.su.se/english for further information.
Main responsibilities
We are looking to employ one or two research assistants, starting in June 2021 or by agreement, for a job that lasts a maximum of two years. As a research assistant, you work closely with the department’s researchers and help them in their research projects. The work includes everything from data collection and processing to advanced econometric analysis in research projects with large register-based data materials and data materials from social media.
Qualification requirements
The applicant must have a master’s degree in economics or have started the second year of the master’s program, with good grades. A focus on quantitative analysis is an advantage. Experience in programming, especially in Stata, is also valuable. You should be interested in research and have a great interest in societal issues. You should also have the ambition to obtain a doctoral degree in economics in the future. A requirement is good knowledge of English.
Terms of employment
This is a full-time, time limited position with a period of maximum two years. Salaries at Stockholm University are determined individually; therefore, please indicate your requested salary. Start date in June or by agreement.
